Does anybody else remeber reading this book? It has a pink hardcover with a few blackness and white drawings by Ninon. A family with lots of kids all having names of dissimilar kinds of apples. I guess information technology is kind of old fashioned today - only I loved information technology, although I was also little to read it.

Somebody has added a picture of the hardcover. I get all mushy when I just glimpse information technology! Ooooh, that is my volume there.

This is an adorable book that I read over and over as a child.

It's all almost Mr. Apple who has many children all with apple names.

It's all warm and cosy, especially when the Apples motion from the city to a house in the state with a white picket fence, surrounded by, guess what? Apple trees.

Trouble ensues when the Apples buy a goat who runs amok and starts to eat the apples.

There are lovely inky drawings which show the picayune Apple tree children equally the abound up and go bigger Apples.

Oh my. Such an ambrosial book!!! I will read this one aloud to the kids before I return it to the library. Glad "The Good and The Beautiful" pulled this out-of-print book back out of the archives. 💕 Clean and precious. Skillful life lessons tucked in the story (piece of work hard, no matter your age; sometimes you need to let others accept their way; your most precious possessions are your family)

This was such a adept volume! It arrived today with the other books I ordered and equally I just casually flipped to meet what information technology was about I became hooked. Instead of getting a experience for the book I devoured the whole matter. It is such a sweet story of this family unit who has such keen virtues. A theme that comes up often is the thought of joyful and willing compromise! Oh how I loved that being displayed in all relationships! In an individualistic society this story was refreshing! This was my favorite childhood volume. Given to my mom by her parents when she was 5 yrs quondam, she kept it and I read it over and over, looking at the details in the illustrations. The images of the Apple tree family unit growing and playing together were heartwarming and inspiring to me as a immature child. My mom gave her volume to me a few years agone and at present my ain kids savor this simple and peaceful story of how Mr. Apple tree deals with his growing family. ( The naming of each new baby was my favorite function.)

I used to read this at my piano instructor'due south business firm when I was trivial.
Mostly I recollect how the Dad named all the kids later apples, merely the Mom just wanted a normal name. She finally got her fashion with the proper name Ann every bit in "an" apple tree. I remember thinking, "You should actually be on the same folio with naming your kids. The dad simply gets to choice? That's kind of sexist."

"I liked that they got a new firm."
"I liked that they got animals."
"I kind of thought information technology was silly that they had to accept apple names."

These were some of the things my kiddos enjoyed nigh this volume. My mom was here one 24-hour interval during our reading and she quite enjoyed the story, too!

Smashing examples of a family working together towards a mutual goal, learning, and trouble-solving.

I read some of the stories from this book when they were included in anthology books containing excerpts of children's literature. I ever thought the illustrations and the names of the children were clever. When I grew upwards, I bought the real book. I am now reading it to my daughter.

This is the book I recollect reading on a summer day laying in the swing. Wish I could notice a copy for my bookshelf. I read it from the Book Mobile that came around to the country kids during the summer. Probably l years agone. Special memories.

This book was ok. My kids seemed to enjoy it (maybe because it was meant for their ages!), merely to me information technology was kind of wearisome and just meh. I did find their naming scheme funny, and I did beloved how the family worked together for a common goal. Make clean, easy read for younger kids.
